Database and clients

SoftGenetics provides a single standard executable file for the installation of both the Geneticist Assistant client and the database server. You can install the client and the database server on the same computer or on different computers. After you install and open Geneticist Assistant for the first time, you will be prompted to configure Geneticist Assistant to connect to the SoftGenetics license server so that you can use Geneticist Assistant. The license server is a central location either locally or on a network where software application licenses are stored and can be accessed by users of the application.

Support and updates

Geneticist Assistant has a time-based license. Time-based licenses need to be activated every year in order to retain functionality and to receive technical support and updates.

Users

The number of users that need the software simultaneously determines the number of client licenses that are needed. In order to discuss your needs please send your inquiry to techsupport@bioke.com
