Endoproteinase LysC is a serine Endoproteinase which cleaves peptide bonds at the carboxyl side of lysine. LysC is a sequencing grade enzyme and is suitable for proteomics and glycobiology applications.

Endoproteinase LysC is a serine endoproteinase, isolated from Lysobacter enzymogenes, that cleaves peptide bonds at the carboxyl side of lysine. LysC is a sequencing grade enzyme and is suitable for proteomics and glycobiology applications.
A 16 hour native LysC digestion of Issatchenkia orientalis Cytochrome c using a 1:50 enzyme to substrate ratio, followed by LC-MS with a Thermo™ LTQ Orbitrap XL, identified 79 peptides with 85% sequence coverage. Product Source

Endoproteinase LysC should be reconstituted in 200 μl high-purity water to make a 100 ng/μl solution in 10 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0. Rapid autolysis is a function of enzyme concentration.- This product is related to the following categories:
