The anion exchanger for purification of up to 500 µg genomic DNA from whole blood

NucleoBond® CB kits allow the purification of up to 500 µg genomic DNA from up to 20 mL whole blood and up to 10⁸ cells using NucleoBond® AXG columns. The DNA purified by this method is suitable for all kinds of subsequent reactions. NucleoBond® CB kits are available with two column sizes (AXG 100 and AXG 500). The columns run by gravity flow resulting in a high molecular weight DNA without shearing. The quality of the genomic DNA is extraordinarily high.

Samples are first lysed under special conditions for removal of erythrocytes. After incubation with Proteinase K the sample is diluted with Buffer N2 before loading onto the NucleoBond® column in order to guarantee a good flow rate as well as a quantitative binding of the DNA. After elution with high-salt buffer the genomic DNA is precipitated with isopropanol.
