Product Overview
The LunaCrosslinker™ is a visible light crosslinking system designed to cure LunaGel™ Photocrosslinkable Extracellular Matrices. High power LEDs facilitate rapid and cell-friendly crosslinking and the stiffness of LunaGel™ Matrices can be adjusted by simply changing the duration of photocrosslinking – easy!
The LunaCrosslinker™ is light and its small footprint makes it perfect to use in the tissue culture environment. Designed to work with standard tissue culture well plates.
The LunaCrosslinker™ is LED-based and is designed to fit standard well-plates, so you can crosslink an entire plate (6-well, 24-well, 96-well, 384-well, …) all at once, ensuring consistent properties between wells. The timing is controlled via a button and an LCD panel display.
Application
The mechanical properties of the LunaGel™ ECM can be controlled by varying the photocrosslinking time in the Luna Crosslinker™ between 1 – 10 minutes.
Safety notes
The Luna Crosslinker™ is a powerful light source and direct light exposure of unprotected eyes or skin should be avoided. Perform light exposure only when the front drawer of the device is entirely shut and do not open the drawer during operation.
Maintenance
Always unplug the unit from the electrical supply before maintenance.
The LunaCrosslinker™ is designed to provide trouble-free operation. To ensure longevity and correct service:
Do not directly expose the crosslinker to liquid. If exposure occurs, wipe any liquid from inside or outside of the crosslinker with a soft cloth immediately.
To clean the crosslinker unit, use a slightly damp cloth to wipe down the internal and external surfaces. Remove excess water with a dry cloth.
For operation inside a class II biosafety cabinet, the crosslinker can be cleaned with a cloth lightly soaked in 80% v/v Ethanol. Do not spray Ethanol solution directly on or into the crosslinker unit.
Setup instructions
Connect the supplied 12V power supply (AC/DC adapter) to the LunaCrosslinker™ by inserting the plug into the back of the device. Connect the power supply to a power socket with 230 – 240V, 50 Hz.
