SARS-CoV-2 Positive Control (N gene)

Catalog #N2117

Product Introduction

  • Contains full SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein (N gene)
  • Includes T7 RNA promoter sequence for generation of RNA transcripts
  • pUC19 plasmid backbone allows propagation of the plasmid in E. coli strains
  • Component of the SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Colorimetric LAMP Assay Kit (NEB #E2019) and Luna® SARS-CoV-2 RT-qPCR Multiplex Assay Kit (NEB #E3019)

Product Information

The SARS-CoV-2 Positive Control (N gene) is a plasmid that contains the SARS-CoV-2 N-gene (GenBank: MN908947.3). It includes a T7 RNA promoter sequence for generation of RNA transcripts, if necessary. This product is used for assay validation of RT-qPCR, LAMP, or other detection methods for SARS-CoV-2 that target the N gene. The concentration is approximately 1,000,000 copies/μl.

Please note that it is not recommended to use the Positive Control concentration as an absolute copy number for quantitative experiments.
This product is related to the following categories:
