Vari-Plate™ Frames & Vari-Plates™

Rigid polycarbonate frame, for use with Vari-Strips; available for use on Roche LightCycler® 480 and for universal use.

These Vari-Plate™ frames are moulded from rigid polycarbonate for use with our polypropylene Vari-Strips™.

The Vari-Strips™ are inserted into the Vari-Plate™ frames to form a complete plate, part plate, or individual strip with an easy-to-handle frame.

As the Vari-Strips™ are interchangeable with the Vari-Plate™ frames, the frames themselves are re-useable; simply purchase more Vari-Strips™ to use.

Vari-Plate™ frames can be purchased separately, or pre-loaded with Vari-Strips™.

Features

• Rigid polycarbonate frames, which reduce thermal expansion and sample evaporation during PCR, leading to improved consistenc in PCR results
• 2 types of frame available - a 96 Well Semi-Skirted Frame, Roche Style for use with the Roche LightCycler® 480, and a 96 Well Skirted Frame for universal use
• Frames can be purchased on their own or pre-loaded with Vari-Strips™
• Vari-Strips™ have ultra-smooth, uniform, thin-walled polypropylene tubes for optimum PCR and real-time (RT-qPCR) results
• Vari-Strips™ have a low profile 0.1 ml (100 µl) working volume, with a 0.2 ml (200 µl) total well capacity when used with sealing options
• Raised well rims prevent cross contamination and facilitate effective sealing for reduced evaporation
• Vari-Strips™ are available with clear or white well tubes - white well tubes giving the highest sensitivity and consistency for fluorescent detection during qPCR
• Compatible with standard multichannel pipettes
• Frames available barcoded

Barcoding

This plate is available with linear Code 128-format barcodes to aid identification and traceability for your samples. To order your plates with barcodes, simply add /SBC to the end of the ordering code for Standard Single Barcoding, /DBC for Standard Double Barcoding, /TBC for Standard Triple Barcoding, or /QBC for Standard Quadruple Barcoding (see Barcoding for more details).

Please be aware the barcoding products have a minimum order quantity of 10 boxes.
